BMR Calculator is a handy tool for determining the base amount of calories needed during your day. Your Basal Metabolic Rate is the number of calories youd burn if you stayed in bed all day. Its based on your age (your BMR decreases as you age), your weight, and your gender (a mans rate is higher than womans.)

You may have noticed that every year, it becomes harder to eat whatever you want and stay slim. Depriving yourself of food in order to lose weight decreases your BMR, which is actually not what you want. However, a regular routine of cardiovascular exercise can increase it, improving your health and fitness as your bodys ability to burn energy gradually slows down.
To use the calculator, all you have to do is enter your height (in centimeters or feet and inches), your weight (in pounds or kilograms), your age, and select your gender. The calculation is automatic. If you change any of your values, the BMR result will change accordingly.
